Steve Phennah & Matt Clarke both did enough to ensure the closest possible end to the 2021 season with them both now equal first overall on 53 points (including dropped scores). Both are not able to make the final round so these are their final tally's for the season. The tiebreak situation is complex with points awarded for podium (1st / 2nd & 3rd) places accumulated across the rounds to date - my calculation is that Matt would get 11 points and Steve getting 10 points making Matt the winner overall. Martin Saunders (Mk1 Escort) could also in theory get to this overall 53 point total with a maximum score at the final meeting and would then potentally win on a tie break - couldn't be closer & will need close scrutiny to verify this is correct!

The dark horse is Ian Moss, If Ian were to score a maximum of 12 points at the October finale in the big Healy then (with dropped scores) he would end the year on 55 points and be a clear winner - no pressure Ian !......

The total counting rounds of the championship are now reduced to 9 after the removal of the second Shelsley Walsh event. Drivers best 6 scores will count towards to overall awards.
